About Us

The Egyptian Pediatrics Association was founded in 1933 by a small group of pediatricians from the Department of Pediatrics, Cairo University.
They convened in Monirah University Children’s Hospital (AbulReesh Hospital) in Cairo, Egypt, in response to the need for an independent pediatric forum to address needs of Egyptian children.
In 1979 it was registered as independent organizations exercising its activities across Egypt.

The EPA believes in the inherent worth of all children.  They are our most enduring and vulnerable legacy.  Children deserve optimum health and require the highest quality health care. Pediatricians (primary care pediatricians, pediatric medical sub-specialists, and pediatric surgical specialists) are the best qualified of all health professionals to provide child health care.  A dynamic organization is necessary to advance these values. The Egyptian Pediatric Association is that organization.
